Thanksgiving at Grandma's 2009

I took the pictures that Mom had on MySpace and decided to post them here. Grandma had a full spread for Thanksgiving. From turkey to the best oyster and chestnut dressing you've ever tasted, it was so yummy!!! We love to go and spend the day at Grandma's! She has a toy room that the girls love to spend time in and plenty of bells to ring all around the house. We couldn't help but go a second round of dessert even though we were still full from dinner later in the day. Mmm...peanut butter angel food cake and chocolate pie!!!

A New Investment

Since the Thanksgiving pictures are on my Mom's camera, I don't have any holiday pictures to share. Hopefully at Christmas I'll remember to take my own camera.


We finally got a new furnace! Unfortunately, our old furnace could no longer work efficiently so we put it to rest and got a new one. Anyway, since we invested what feels like a fortune in it, I'm posting a pic!

Ailish's Cool New Ability

Ailish spelled the word "Off" when no one was looking! She can do several small words now!

Ailish came home with this drawing today from school. She's been really working on writing her name!

Happy Halloween!

Since Halloween is so busy, I only have 2 pics I can share. I think every couple days they ask if it's Halloween yet. They both enjoyed dressing up and going from house to house to beg for candy! We left them pig out on it when we got home. They were very tired once the sugar shock wore off!

Fine Fall Day

Sometimes the best things in life are free. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, so we spent the afternoon at the park. There is a nice little trail that goes behind the pool, so we took a walk and some great pics of the girls. Then, we played on the slides and ran around the playground. For a treat, we stopped at the store and picked up some apple cider. We were ready to drink it as soon as we got home. The girls helped me download the pics and we reviewed the afternoon that we spent together.

Random Thoughts

I know it's been some time since I've posted. We've been sick for a couple of weekends in a row.

The girls like to take their toys to the kitchen table so we always seem to have toys all over the table. That can make it a little hard to get the table set, but it's fun to see the creations they come up with.


A few weeks ago my parents came out and Gwen helped Pop-pop clean the corn. I have to share those pics cause they are so cute.


I had to share this odd pic. We were going in to the local grocery store and an amish vehicle came in that you just have to see. Imagine that running around the local roads...ugh!!! (Sorry about the quality)

Start of a New School Year

Ailish started Pre-K school on August 31st. Her first day went without a tear. She picked out the outfit she wanted to wear from some of the new dresses we bought her over the weekend. She said that they read a book about a mouse getting covered in sauce, sang "Mary had a Little Lamb" and talked to her friend Ariana. She excitedly told me that her name was on a blue teddy bear. (Her bookbag hook has her name over it.)

Today, Grammy got her ready for school. She looked so cute with her hair in a pretty white scrunci and a "Sharpay" dress. She had another good day at school. She said they read a book on trains and sang again.

I like picking her up from school. The time in the car with her alone allows us to talk about the day before she gets into something more exciting at home to occupy her time.
