Hooray for a week of vacation! We made it safely to Virginia Beach after a 9 hour trip (we made several stops along the way). We went through the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel. I think it's scary but very interesting. While we were going into the second tunnel a very big naval ship happened to be going over the tunnel at the same time.
First day: Woke up and hit the beach at 8:30 am. We spent the 
entire day on the beach today. We flew kites and dug in the sand. The girls were coated with sand by the end of the day. We hauled half the beach sand up to the house in their shorts and had to hose them down. Baths for everyone!

Ohhhhh! We went through that bridge when we were on our honeymoon! That thing is scary. I don't think I could go through that again. Maybe if I was sedated, or if Wendell hits me over the head with a frying pan or something.Looks like you all are having a good time! I'm soooo glad! You needed this vacation!
