Happy Mother's Day!

I started this blog a little over a year ago. Wow, how time flies! This year for Mother's Day, Ailish brought home a cute little plant and this wonderful craft! I LOVE THIS! I think it's amazing to see how much her writing has changed since she started school.
This is so precious to me!

We started our piggie planters again this year. I took the girls to the nursery and left them run around picking their own flowers. They like to play in the dirt and look at the flowers. They watch them grow and water them everyday.

Spring Has Sprung!

Hershey Gardens is beautiful this time of year. The late tulips are still blooming and the azaleas are in full bloom! We took the girls this past Sunday to run off some extra energy and soak in the sunny day. We got more than we bargained for when it rained a little, but that didn't stop us. We enjoyed the rain just as much as the sun. There's a children's garden that's full of statues the kids can climb on and musical instruments to play with. We fully enjoyed the hedge maze shaped like a pretzel. The butterfly house wasn't open yet so we chased rabbits under the trees and looked for birds. We were so tired after all that fun!

Happy Easter!

(Ailish made a card for us in school for Easter)

We spent Saturday at Grammy's house. There was lots to eat (the ham was soooo good!) and the weather was so nice that we just had to go out and enjoy some of the sunshine.

Gwen found the Easter grass to be amusing. There was a trail of grass from the baskets that they had found in the living room to the dining room where she jumped and rolled in it like it was fallen leaves.

The Easter Bunny came to our house! There was a lot of eggs filled with chocolate to find and baskets filled with goodies! The girls had a good time running around the house looking for their treasure. Of course, that means that chocolate was on the menu for breakfast. (That should keep them sugared up for a while!)

Weekend Without Kids

My parents were very nice to us and took the kids for the weekend. So, instead of spending the weekend resting easy, we decided to take on a remodeling project. Gwendolyn is 3 now, so time for a big girl bedroom. What started the whole thing is the bed sheet set I found that has kitties and puppies on it. (Both, as you all know, she LOVES!) So, off we went to Walmart to pick out a bed that would work for her. I can't wait to see what her reaction is!!!

Random Entry

Two kids and a giant box are amusing! Of course, Daddy likes to squeeze in there too!

I know some of you have seen this if you belong to Facebook, but to those of you who aren't I wanted to post this here:

(Gwen drew an awesome picture of Daddy!!!)
I had to add this picture, though it's very blurry, but it's worth a thousand words!!!

Ailish's 5th Birthday Party

(Yes, this is the cake)
Her Royal Highness Ailish, would like to say "Thank You for a great birthday party."
We had a good day with our family! There were tiaras, presents, sandwiches, and LOTS of cake! I wish I had a video with Ailish and the cake!!! She was so royal! It makes me smile just thinking about it! She has been busy since then playing with all the new toys! Thank you!
We made sure we woke her highness up with the sweet sounds of the fart noise maker that someone so generously gave her yesterday. What a perfect way to start the day. *fart*

Oh Noooo, More Snow!!! (New pictures added on 1/14)

We just got it under control from the weekend and now, more snow??? Oh well. The girls went out once the driveway was cleared off this past weekend. Daddy made a snow 'fort' for the girls, it was really impressive! He had a huge path dug out in the yard that the girls ran around in. Then the girls made snow angels and came in for some hot chocolate. Yum!

After a long day, who doesn't just LOVE to snuggle up? These cuddle bunnies are perfect for cuddling!

These pictures were after the second snow storm that hit. The snow bank on the side of the driveway just keeps growing. (I love the Aztec with the mowhawk!!!)

Smoothie Saturday

Last weekend we decided to make some smoothies for breakfast. Both girls had a part in making them! Gwen washed the fruit, Ailish chopped it, and Mommy blended. Yum-Yum!!!!

Ailish Goes to the Movies

Ailish and I went to see The Princess and the Frog!!! It had been out in theaters for a little while, but since the holidays were so busy and then it would snow over the weekend, we just couldn't make it out. I was so afraid that we weren't going to make it before it left the theaters!
She was so excited that she was running to the theater when we got there. When we were walking past all of the promotion posters, she slowed down to look. (The posters are so big compared to her.) The seats tended to flip up on her when she moved but I don't know if she really wanted to. She was watching the screen so intently. At one point, she leaned over to me and whispered, "Thank you, Momma!"
She loved it!

Gwen's 3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday to Gwen!
We celebrated on the 29th with a yummy chocolate cupcake that the girls shared. Gwen even blew out her candle this year!
When the holidays were officially over, we had family over for a party. The theme was picked out by Gwen all by herself. She wanted a "pet shop" cake and picked out Hello Kitty decorations. She was so cute. We went to Party City and she walked up and down the aisles to look at all the different decorations. Then she went back through the aisles to pick out the decorations she wanted.
